Thomas Edison

Grown & Photographed by GCDA member, Amy Phipps. Amy says, "Thomas Edison was my first purple dahlia. I like the black stems." Thomas Edison is a dinner plate size dahlia with huge, deep purple flowers that make excellent bouquets. Fully double flowers on strong, sturdy stems. (The Thomas Edison dahlia was one of the most popular dahlias during the early 1930s. I wonder if it's related.)
