Tahiti Sunrise

Grown & Photographed by CDS member, Tom Purdy. "This dahlia was why I joined the organization. I had to stake it twice it grew so tall. About 9 feet. I’m putting in a new dahlia garden in my front yard. There were so many blooms. I know I should have clipped some but didn’t know ANYTHING about dahlias last summer." A primrose yellow center and bright magenta tips give this cactus dahlia a warm glow. Introduced in 1975, Tahiti Sunrise is still one of the most popular dahlias varieties in the US. The 5 to 6" blooms are always a highlight in mixed bouquets.
